ESSOR- what's new

As part of the ESSOR contract for CNES under France2030 funding, Aldoria (lead contractor), ONERA and CS-Group presented the progress of developments after a year's work, halfway through the first phase.

Prior to the progress meeting, the CNES team and partners were able to visit the Crucey site managed by ONERA, where the MEDOC radar station has been deployed. Operational since February 2024 and generating regular tracking of more than 9,000 objects in LEO, it is the basis of the service marketed by Astareon.

Participants also visited Aldoria's development, integration and control facilities, with the new 500mm MTOS telescopes currently under development. The partners' resources will be at the heart of the SSA service demonstration planned for the coming year, feeding the IT platform developed by CS-Group to feed data, products and indicators back to CNES.
