Hearing on the future of the European space industry

On 31 October 2023, Share My Space had the honour of being auditioned by the information mission on the future of the European space industry.

This mission, set up in May 2023 by the French National Assembly's Economic Affairs Committee under the supervision of rapporteurs Cécile Rilhac and Aurélien Lopez Liguori, aims to draw up an exhaustive inventory of the strengths and weaknesses of the European space industry. The aim is to better map out the industry's future in the years to come, by examining the industry's economic model and proposing an assessment of current policies.

For Romain Lucken, CEO of Share My Space, it was an opportunity to recall the importance of space situational awareness for the security of space operations.

It was also an opportunity to put forward suggestions to stimulate the development of the space industry ecosystem. The State must support emerging players with public orders to catalyse their development and position them favourably on the export market.
