Unveilling of our MTOS technology at AMOS conference

From September 14th to 17th, Maui, Hawaii, is hosting the Advanced Maui Optical and Space Surveillance Technologies Conference (AMOS). This yearly event is the world top scientific conference in the field of space situational awareness.

Due to COVID-19 travel restriction to the US, Share My Space is participating remotely. Through the AMOS virtual platform, all participants can discover our MTOS project and exchange directly with our CTO Romain Lucken. The scientific paper presenting the system performance will be published as part of the conference proceedings.

Based on two years of R&D on our two experimental telescopes located in France, the MTOS is an innovative system of rotating telescopes able to massively detect objects passing through the night sky. Share My Space is also designing a brand new telescope, the WMS1000, especially for the MTOS, in order to detect objects as small as 5cm in LEO.

MTOS technology is protected by two patents and the first station will be build in 2022, demonstrating Share My Space capacity to detect, track and add to its catalaogue thousands of new space debris. The full deployment of the four MTOS stations by 2024 will allow Share My Space to reach its goal of building a proprietary catalogue of 100 000 space objects, offering a whole new level of safety for orbital activities.
